Leanne Jojola (Vocal)

Piano, Vocal, Ukulele

Leanne (Piano, Vocal, Ukulele instructor), is a graduate of the College of Arts and Media program at CU Denver, majoring in Vocal Performance. She started performing at the age of six, singing Mariachi music, and started learning piano at the age of nine. By the age of 14 she was performing in English as well, and accompanying herself on the piano.

From a young age performing has been a big part of Leanne’s life, dancing and acting from the age of three. Having a background in these has helped her develop different styles of singing, ranging from musical theatre, to contemporary, with some classical experience as well.

Now Leanne is studying for her Masters in Criminology at Regis University, but still holds music close to her heart as one of her main priorities. Currently in a band with two fellow CU Denver classmates, Leanne continues to write and perform as one of her biggest passions. Some of her biggest inspirations in music are Elton John, Lady Gaga, Stevie Nicks, David Bowie, Adele, Demi Lovato, Linda Ronstadt, and Selena Quintanilla.

Along with performing and creating music of her own, teaching has also become a passion of Leanne’s as well. Valuing education for herself and others is a priority to her, and something she tries to carry forward. Continuing to learn everyday is something she both enjoys and prides herself in, and she hopes to be able to instill that same curiosity and excitement in others!
