Doug attended the Berklee college of music and graduated summa cum laude in 1991 with a performance degree.   He started playing guitar at 8 years old, being taught by his uncle and friends. He took in all the rich variety of musicians and bands in the area.   After high school, from 1993 until the present, Doug has taught private and group lessons for a living and played an enormous variety of music with jazz duo’s, trio’s, bands, solo, rock bands, blues, country,  original rock bands, sideman for a lot of musicians, wedding bands, Inns, restaurants, bars, halls, etc.

Doug has led rock camps for many years, being able to coach everyone in the ensemble by himself. He has also taught classes in music theory, jazz, blues, and improv. He frequently coaches students in middle school and high school jazz bands. Doug has recorded seven cd’s to date and released two on CD Baby, which can be reached on I-tunes, Amazon.com and other cd stores.
